Mayne mail posts install easily over a standard 4 by 4 wood post. Bury about 2-3-Feet in the ground and leave 4-Feet above the ground. Slide the decorative sleeve over the post, assemble the paper holder arm and attach it to the post, then secure your mailbox of choice to the arm. Mailboxes can be bolted directly to this arm using a standard nut and bolt combination.
