- ABSORBABLE CHROMIC CATGUT SUTURE: The DemeGUT chromic catgut surgical suture is sterile and absorbable with a tensile strength that is retained up to 14 days, and sometimes as long as 21 days. It’s composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen) that is derived from the serosal layer of beef (bovine) intestines and contains chromic salt to delay absorption after wound closure.
- HIGH-PERFORMANCE NEEDLES: Our needles are created from aerospace metals and are designed to provide excellent tissue penetration for anywhere between 8 to 10 passes.
- TREATED WITH CHROMIUM SALT: The innovative chromic catgut is treated with a chromium salt solution to resist body enzymes, minimize tissue reactivity, and prolong absorption. Our process of chromicizing strands also minimizes the possibility of fraying.
